Angina Relief
Made Simple No Surgery, No Recovery

If you’ve been diagnosed with Chronic Stable Angina (CSA), the Wave PROTM  may be right for you.

Wave PROTM ECP therapy requires no surgery, has no recovery time, and is delivered by your healthcare provider. The treatment is covered by Medicare and most private insurers. ECP has been shown to provide meaningful, lasting symptom relief for most CSA patients.1 2

The Wave PROTM: A New Way to Support Your Heart

Overview

If you’ve been told there are no further options for your chest pain, you’re not alone. The Wave PROTM therapy offers an innovative path forward, timed to your heartbeat. It’s specifically indicated for patients with chronic stable angina (CSA) whose medication no longer provides relief and who are not able to undergo a revascularization procedure, such as stenting or bypas surgery.1  The Wave PROTM  is built on the principles of FDA-cleared ECP therapy2, a modality that is also widely reimbursed by insurance for patients with CSA5. ECP therapy has been shown to improve chest pain symptoms in patients3

.

  • No surgery. No recovery. Evidence-backed performance1
  • Mild to moderate (measurable) reduction of angina symptoms upon completion of full treatment cycle (35 sessions) 3
  • In the successful WaveCRESST clinical study, the blood flow improvement (as measured by diastolic augmentation ratio) was numerically higher compared to the predicate device 1

The Wave PROTM in action

During each session, sleeves are placed around the calves and squeeze in sync with the heartbeat, applying external pressure that supports the natural flow of blood back toward the heart.

The treatment is well-tolerated, non-invasive, and supervised by trained healthcare professionals. There’s no recovery time, and no surgery — just a non-invasive treatment for angina-related symptoms. Treatments are one hour per session, with 35 total sessions.

In clinical studies of ECP therapy, over 80% of patients with untreatable drug-refractory Chronic Stable Angina achieved meaningful improvement in angina symptoms or functional status2

Who Benefits from the Wave PROTM ?

The Wave PRO™ therapy is designed for people who experience chest pain or pressure whose symptoms continue even after medication and who are not eligible for revascularization, sometimes referred to as Chronic Stable Angina1 . It can also benefit healthy adults looking to boost circulation, oxygen use, and recovery through improved blood flow6 .

Your Experience

  1. On your first visit,  your healthcare provider will explain ECP to you and determine if you are eligible for ECP therapy.
  2. At each treatment session, you will be positioned comfortably for treatment
  3. Sleeves will be placed around your calves (less than 5 minutes)
  4. Treatment is delivered over a one-hour session
  5. You can pause or stop treatment at any time.
  6. You will receive a one-hour ECP treatment each day for 5 days per week over 7 weeks, for a total of 35 sessions.
Benefits you may feel
  • Less chest pain 4
  • Better quality of life 4
  • Improved ability to perform daily tasks 4

Clinical Validation

The Wave PROTM system delivers diastolic augmentation and systolic unloading using calf-only pulse-synchronized calf compression to help relieve angina symptoms 1 . Patients found Wave PROTM more comfortable than predicate ECP systems 1 .

What is Chronic Stable Angina (CSA)?

Angina can present in different ways. Common symptoms may include chest tightness or pressure, shortness of breath, fatigue, or pain that can spread to the neck, jaw, shoulders, or arms—often triggered by physical activity or emotional stress. In some people, these symptoms become frequent enough to limit daily activities or disrupt sleep.

The Wave PROTM is an ECP therapeutic system designed for patients with Chronic Stable Angina that are no longer candidates for revascularization that wraps sleeves around your calves. They inflate and deflate in an automated sequence that synchronizes with your heart’s resting phase, creating external pressure that augments the natural movement of blood toward the heart.

It’s designed for patients with drug-refractory Chronic Stable Angina (CSA) that are no longer suitable for revascularization and for healthy individuals seeking better circulation.

The treatment is non-invasive, and well-tolerated by most patients.

Each session typically lasts about 60 minutes.

Many patients notice improved energy and fewer angina symptoms after several sessions, though results vary.

Yes, it has been tested and cleared for CSA that is refractory to optimal medical therapy in patients who are not candidates for revascularization.

You can receive treatment in participating clinics or under the supervision of a trained healthcare professional.

Wave PRO delivers the same proven heart-health benefits as predicate methods, but using automated delivery and a calf-only sleeves design instead of whole lower-body approaches.

Covered by Medicare, Medicaid, and most insurance plans; however, coverage varies by plan and medical need. Your healthcare provider can confirm your eligibility.

Yes, by improving circulation and easing chest discomfort, Wave PRO ECP therapy can help you live more comfortably again.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION
The Pression Wave PRO External Counter-Pulsation System is indicated for the treatment of chronic stable angina (CSA) that is refractory to optimal anti-anginal medical therapy and without options for revascularization in adult patients that weigh greater than 40kg. In addition, it is intended for use in healthy adult patients to provide improvement in vasodilation, increased VO2, and increased blood flow. It is intended for use under the supervision of a healthcare professional.

Be sure to discuss your individual symptoms, diagnosis and treatment with your doctor.  The Wave PRO ECP System has the same potential complications as other ECP systems, including paresthesia (numbness or tingling sensation), swelling, skin abrasions, bruises, blisters and leg/back pain.
